Import your gear listing from Facebook

Already listed your kit on Facebook Marketplace? Bring it across in one step. Paste your link or screenshot your listing, and DZSpotter fills in the form for you. You review the details and submit it for review. It only ever imports your own listing.

There are two ways to do it. Use a link when Facebook lets us read your listing. Use screenshots when it does not, which is common for listings in the UK and Europe and for group posts.

Option one, from your listing link

Pasting a Facebook Marketplace link and the DZSpotter listing form filling in automatically
  1. Open your listing on Facebook Marketplace and copy its link. On an Android phone you can share the listing straight to DZSpotter from the Facebook app.
  2. Paste the link on the import page. DZSpotter reads your listing.
  3. The listing form opens already filled in with your title, description, price, location and photos.
  4. Check anything we have highlighted, add what is missing, and publish.

Option two, from screenshots

Facebook hides many listings from us, especially in the UK and Europe and in groups. You can always see your own listing on your own screen, so a screenshot always works.

Adding screenshots of a Facebook listing and the DZSpotter form filling in from them
  1. Take up to three screenshots of your own listing.
  2. Upload them on the import page. DZSpotter reads the details from them.
  3. The form fills in with your title, price, condition, location and description. Add your own photos, since screenshots are read for the details only and are never stored or used as your listing photos.
  4. Check anything we have highlighted, and publish.

Good to know

  • It only ever imports your own listing. It is a typing assistant, not a way to copy other people's listings.

  • We never store your screenshots or any Facebook account details. Screenshots are read for the text and then discarded.

  • Your photos are saved to DZSpotter, so your listing stays live here even if your Facebook post comes down.

  • It works on iPhone and Android. On Android you can share a listing to DZSpotter straight from the Facebook app.
